New for 2008
Quick Craft sessions are suitable for beginners or those wishing to expand their skills. They give you a taster for some of our longer project-based workshops and include techniques such as embroidery; including Hardanger, French knots, chain stitch, couching, canvaswork, stumpwork and cross stitch, mixed media techniques; including bead and button making, using Angelina fibres, Tyvek© and Lutradur©. Metal embossing, transfer printing and silk painting are also included. If you don't see the technique you are interested in featured below, contact us to arrange a date.
Workshops for children are usually held once a month on a Saturday, although additional dates are often arranged.
Machine embroidery classes are now available. These will be taught on a one-to-one basis at £17 per hour and can be arranged at times to suit you. Contact us for more information.
A little of what you fancy!
Why not book in some studio time to play around with different techniques? Not so much a workshop, more a textile art workout! Or why not join us once a month on a Thursday evening? We hold a regular monthly workout sessions from 7 until 9.30 when we experiment with all sorts of techniques, so come along and play. Booking essential.

All materials required are included in the workshop fee unless otherwise stated.

Projects
Projects are new for 2008. They consist of a series of workshops during which you will practice the basics for the technique used, and then move on to creating a sampler or piece of work using your new skills. Most are suitable for beginners.
| Bead and Button Sampler | Course fee £65 for 2 sessions | ||
| Using beads made in a previous workshop and/or proprietory beads and buttons, make a beaded sampler. Please note this is a 3 hour workshop. If you bring your own beads, buttons and fabric, there will be a reduction in the course fee. A requirements list is available. | |||
